Today Paul and I went to the annual Dallas Police retirees picnic in Quitman at Hogg park. I got to see so many friends that I worked with throughout the years on DPD. The time was spent walking down memory lane and I got to see two fellow officers that came all the way down from Massachusetts. There were retired DPD officers from all over Texas and we talked, laughed and remember the good times. The years that we have been gone from the department seemed to have melted away and for a moment it was like we were all together again. All too soon it was time to leave but I know, God willing, we will see each other again next year.
